Liverpool poor form due to Loss of Luis Suarez

Liverpool’s previous season of the Premier League was a majestic one as the team of Brendan Rodgers only lost 6 matches in the entire campaign and was only 3 points short from claiming the title and if you compare that season to their current one where they have already lost 5 matches and are located in the middle section of the Premier League standings, it has certainly been a disappointing one.

Fans are claiming that the recent drop of form is due to the loss of Luis Suarez but the fact of the matter is that even if it is true that the Uruguayan forward was sold to Barcelona, the underwhelming season cannot be blamed solely on Suarez not being a player of Liverpool.

The side of Brendan Rodgers has displayed vulnerabilities all around the squad from the defense to the offensive players; it’s not been the way that the fans of Liverpool wanted to see their favorite club kick-off the season after having ended the previous one on such a high note.

There have even been rumors of the Fenway Sports Group (the owners of Liverpool) taking into consideration sacking Brendan Rodgers. The rumors are suggesting that the principal owner John W Henry was not satisfied with the transfer activity of Brendan Rodgers during the summer transfer window which witnessed Mario Balotelli making a move to Anfield for €16 million as well as a few other players making their way to the Premier League but overall it has not really been a standout season for any of the new arrivals.

There are some players that are on the radar of Brendan Rodgers as the manager of Liverpool wants to kick-off the 2015 by signing experienced players such as: Andre Schurrle and KarimBenzema but both of those players might be out of the reach of Rodgers.

KarimBenzema is a regular starter for Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid and the Frenchman is one of the highest paid sportsman in the world as well as he is performing in a club that is one of the favorites on winning the Spanish League and the Champions League, there would be no reason at all for Benzema to want to leave Real Madrid.

Andre Schurrle is another consistent performer for his club with Jose Mourinho and the German is one of the key players for Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers might have to look somewhere else and search for unknown players that aren’t signed or aren’t being appreciated by their respective clubs if the manager of Liverpool wants to sign talented players without having to break the bank.
